This November, do your body some good before the Thanksgiving “Eating Olympics” while helping the Staff Assembly Scholarship program.

One hour can make a difference
Whether you decide to walk, trot or run, the Staff Assembly Turkey Trot raises critical funds for the Career Enhancement Scholarship Program which helps career staff continue their education in associate, bachelor's or graduate programs at community colleges, state colleges or universities while employed at UCI.

How far you walk is up to you
It’s not about the mileage. It’s about the contribution. While we appreciate there may be a few of you who will do double digit laps around Aldrich Park during the trot, most walkers will probably do 2-4 laps. The decision is yours. Remember, it’s your personal contribution and dedication which is invaluable.

Together, we’ll raise important funds
Staff Assembly is committed to raising a minimum of $4,000 in combined funds for scholarships this year.

Top Individual Fundraiser Prizes:

1^st Place: one night stay at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana + $50 dinner certificate

2^nd Place: one night stay at the Marriott Residence Inn in Costa Mesa

3^rd Place: Ayers Hotel goody bag including a $50 lunch certificate

How to Register:

• Complete the Registration Form and the Liability Waiver Form

• Payment must be made by either personal check (payable to UC Regents) or cash (exact amount preferred)

• Bring forms and payment to the registration table on Nov. 14th

• Registration starts at 11:00am in Aldrich Park near Phoenix Grill

Rules:You decide - walk, run or trot! Contest winners will be determined by the greatest funds raised. An idea: ask your colleagues, friends and family to sponsor you for five dollars equal to a one hour Walk-A-Thon. With five sponsors at five dollars, your contribution will be $25. All donations are matched by the Executive Vice Provost so in the end you will be raising a total of $50 for Scholarships!
