- UCI Staff Assembly Sunset Kayak
Join UCI Staff Assembly and Campus Recreation for this unique opportunity to paddle the Newport Back Bay. Campus Recreation will provide the guide, sit-on-top kayaks, personal floatation vests, and all equipment so all you have to do is paddle! No previous kayaking experience needed however for your safety basic swim proficiency is required. These four exclusive opportunities are available for UCI & UC Irvine Medical Center Staff and a guest.
When: May 16, June 7 and June 27, 2012 Time: 5:30 - 8:00pm
Where: UCI Crew Base located in the Newport Back Bay (directions will be provided at time of registration)
Cost: $22 per person per session (18 years or older)
Registration: Campus Recreation Services at the ARC or 949-824-3738
Deadline: Advanced registration required at least one week prior to each date, if space is available. Limited to 25 participants for each date - please register early. Custom Kayak paddles also available for groups of 10 or more.

- A volunteer opportunity open to all staff and family/friends!
The Community Action Partnership of Orange County (CAPOC) needs volunteers for the OC Food Bank on Saturday, June 16th from 11am – 1pm. Volunteers will work side-by-side to the beat of music packing food boxes that are distributed to families in need throughout Orange County and surrounding areas.

Please note, light physical labor is involved with this project. This event is open to staff, family and friends (up to three additional people) and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Be sure to note additional attendees within the survey (it will ask you).

We are having a pre-game party under the "Big A" with free food and drinks. The shuttles will bring people from the Manchester pavilion lot (200 S Manchester Ave, Orange) at the Medical Center to Anaheim Stadium so parking is free. Shuttles are free.
