About the event
The Tinker Bell Half Marathon is a women’s themed, 13.1 mile course through the Disneyland® Resort and the historic streets of Anaheim. It takes place annually on Mother’s Day and this year’s event will benefit MOMS Orange County. It’s an inspiring event to watch as you’ll see women of all ages coming together to support each other through a difficult challenge – daughters helping mothers, mothers helping daughters, perfect strangers meeting along the way and providing encouragement.
About volunteering
Join your fellow UCI staff members and friends for a fun opportunity assisting runners along the race course! UCI Staff Assembly will have specific duties and a dedicated location for our group. You will receive a volunteer t-shirt and badge which you will be required to wear at all times during the event.
Volunteer commitment
Important: please DO NOT register to volunteer unless you are able to fully commit to the following requirements per runDisney:
-Arrive on time for the volunteer shift starting at 2:30am on Sunday, May 8, 2016
(Yes, it will be an early morning, and it’s on Mother’s Day, but we promise you will have fun!)
- Complete the entire 8-hour shift ending at 10:30am
- All volunteers MUST sign-in, sign-out and complete the entire assigned shift in order for our ENTIRE group to be eligible for appreciation (free ticket)
– Friends and family members are welcome to volunteer but must be at least 14 years old
- Must register by Tuesday, April 5, 2016
Appreciation
In exchange for your 8 hours of volunteering, runDisney will provide a free* Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper ticket (currently valued at $154). The ticket is good for one year, is non-transferable and has block out dates.
*note: all volunteers on the UCI Staff Assembly must sign-in, sign-out and complete the entire shift in order for ALL volunteers on our team to get the free tickets. Theme park tickets earned will be distributed within sixty days of the event via email.

- Complete personal info, volunteer conduct and emergency contact info
- Click “continue”
- No need to check a specific shift. You will receive an automatic reply from the active.com system
- Click “submit” on next screen
- Print confirmation
- You will receive additional event details and the specific meeting location closer to the event date
