Staff Appreciation Picnic

The Staff Appreciation Picnic is an annual event hosted by the UC Irvine Staff Assembly to recognize and say THANKS to the staff for all they do for the UC Irvine community! This is about coming together, appreciating staff, and enjoying a meal. We welcome all staff and retirees from the Irvine campus and UCI Health to join us for this special event.

Event Details

Tables, chairs and umbrellas will be provided and set up by Signature Rental before the event start time. To ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone, please do not bring pop-up canopies, generators, or BBQ grills.

Parking

Complimentary all-day parking is available for this event in the Anteater Parking Structure, in any general (unmarked) stalls. You must register your vehicle by August 13 at 11:59 p.m. through the UC Irvine Transportation PARKbyPLATE system. Use code: SAP@UCI.

If you are unable to register at least one day in advance, discounted options are available through myCommute.

Campus-to-Campus Shuttle

Free shuttle service is available between UCI Health – Orange (Building 53 Auditorium) and UC Irvine Campus (Aldrich Hall). Times are approximate and may vary due to traffic conditions.

For the final return trip to UCI Health – Orange, the shuttles will depart once it’s full

Zero Waste Event

The event is committed to being a zero waste event. This allows us to minimize the material going into landfills and maximize the materials that are recycled and composted, leading to a lower carbon footprint and a cleaner environment.

To be sustainable, we encourage attendees to bring their reusable plates (no large to-go containers), utensils and beverage containers. There will be hydration stations for refilling water bottles and recyclable plates, utensils and cups available.
